Omega Red Group, South Staffordshire Group’s specialist earthing, lightning protection, surge protection and height safety business, is delighted to announce that it has been shortlisted across several categories at the ATLAS Awards 2026.
The ATLAS Awards, organised by the Association of Technical Lightning and Access Specialists (ATLAS), bring together talent from across the steeplejack and lightning protection industries to celebrate outstanding contributions, excellence and expertise among its membership.
Omega Red Group has been named a finalist in several categories, including:
Best Conservation and Heritage Project by a Steeplejack Member – recognising its work designing and installing a height safety system for the listed, historic vessel, Cutty Sark.
Best Commercial and New Build Project by a Lightning Protection Member – recognising its work providing a lightning protection solution at Parley Anaerobic Digestion Plant.
Outstanding Individual Contribution to Training and Development – recognising the leading role played by Matthew Waldram, Omega Red Group’s technical manager, in supporting the development of technical knowledge and raising technical standards and awareness across the business.
Omega Red Group is also the only business to have two individuals shortlisted in the ATLAS Rising Star Award category. Caden White, Lightning Protection Fitter and Eve Travers, Estimator, have both been recognised for their commitment to learning and strong leadership potential. Having completed his apprenticeship in 2025, Caden has rapidly progressed, developing the technical knowledge and practical skills required to become a highly competent engineer. Meanwhile, Eve, who entered the industry from a diverse professional background, has demonstrated outstanding performance, quickly building her technical knowledge and achieving an industry accreditation in 2025.
Nick Marshall, managing director of Omega Red Group, commented: “Congratulations to all of our team members who have been shortlisted. The calibre and depth of expertise recognised through these nominations are testament to the professionalism and commitment our people demonstrate every day. I wish each nominee the very best of luck for the ceremony in October.”
Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in Stratford-upon-Avon on Friday 23 October, where ATLAS will also celebrate the association’s 80th anniversary.
